Deeply embedded in our nature, humans have been telling stories since the dawn of time.

Businesses have to share their unique story to captivate and inspire the right humans.

How you tell it can make a world of difference.

What I do

Most people call me Mash (pronounced mosh like in moshpit), short for Mashia (maa · she · ah). Now that we got that out of the way, it’s nice to “meet” ya.

I specialize in human-centered user experience design and strategic copywriting. My values are rooted in the wild notion that it’s the people that make the brand. And brands should revolve around the people they serve.

My happy place is somewhere at the intersection of tailored messaging, brand strategy, and intuitive UX. I love working with visionary brands who put their users first to deliver successful digital experiences.

Being multi-passionate in several disciplines (writing, research, strategy, design, photography, & creative direction) gives me the ability to connect the dots that can make your businesses thrive.

With experience in nearly every medium, I have the right skillset and mindset to craft a compelling story that speaks with your audience. Not at them.

Mash’s empathy towards others gives her the ability to write in multiple voices. She really gets deep into the head of our clients’ ideal audience while leading the team towards a focused goal.

I drink too much coffee and nerd out about human-centered design.

That sounds great and all, but what does human-centered design actually mean? Well, here’s the cliff notes:

  1. People-centered: Focus on people and their context in order to create things that are appropriate for them.

  2. Understand and solve the right problems, the root problems: Understand and solve the right problem, the root causes, and the underlying fundamental issues. Otherwise, the symptoms will just keep returning.

  3. Everything is a system: Think of everything as a system of interconnected parts.

  4. Small and simple interventions: Do iterative work and don't rush to a solution. Try small, simple interventions and learn from them one by one, and slowly your results will get bigger and better. Continually prototype, test, and refine your proposals to make sure that your small solutions truly meet the needs of the people you focus on.

Everything I create is based on the above key principles. My user-centric approach and background in professional copywriting are my superpowers, used to help modern brands like yours connect more with the right people.

Mashia is one of the most driven and creative people I have worked with during my career. She brings great ideas to every project and a true thirst to learn everything she can about whatever project she takes on. Certainly something you won’t find every day.
